Claims Data Scientist

This role offers an opportunity to join a delegated authority claims team as a data and reporting specialist. The position centers on producing high-quality management information and conducting detailed claims data analysis to support strategic business decisions. Key responsibilities include designing robust data models, creating KPI reports with root cause analysis, validating metrics, and maintaining data integrity while ensuring regulatory compliance. The role also involves participating in system change projects and special initiatives related to conduct risk and consumer duty. The ideal candidate holds an associate degree or bachelor's qualification with several years of data analysis experience. Strong technical proficiency is essential, including advanced Excel and Power BI skills, SQL expertise, and practical knowledge of R or Python. Familiarity with Azure DevOps, VBA, and DAX is required. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of insurance and reinsurance operations, combined with strong analytical abilities and knowledge of the FCA and PRA regulatory environment. The position is offered on a hybrid basis.
