Client Technical Manager

About this role

This role oversees the technical management of delegated authority agreements between the hiring organisation and external insurers, brokers and partners. The post holder will produce and maintain binding authority contracts, reinsurance documentation and related agreements throughout their lifecycle, whilst ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards. They will provide technical guidance to underwriting, compliance and claims teams, act as the primary contact for delegated authority queries, and work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve issues and support strategic improvements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with delegated authority insurance and reinsurance agreements, including London Market binding authority and coverholder processes. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, alongside a thorough understanding of underwriting and claims operations. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, excellent organisational abilities and the flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Project management experience is advantageous, and the successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
