About this role
This role offers an opportunity to join a specialist insurer's London team as an Energy Casualty Underwriter. You will underwrite complex new and renewal business, engage with brokers and policyholders to build strong relationships, and contribute to portfolio strategy and profitable growth. The position involves coaching junior underwriters, collaborating across internal teams on international energy casualty initiatives, and leveraging your technical expertise to strengthen the market proposition. The ideal candidate brings substantial Energy Casualty underwriting experience within the London market, with strong communication and influencing skills. You should be CII qualified or progressing toward professional qualifications, and demonstrate a customer-focused mindset. Experience with US-domiciled risks is advantageous. The role is based in London on a hybrid basis, with flexible working options including part-time, job-share, or full-time arrangements.
