About this role
The role
An opportunity for an entrepreneurial broker or business producer to build their own portfolio at a developing Lloyd's brokerage. The focus is currently European wholesale business, though the direction on territories and classes is open.
What you'll do
The role involves building and developing a personal portfolio of insurance or reinsurance business, with a preference for wholesale business with a European or international flavour. The successful candidate will have considerable autonomy over clients, relationships and business development strategy, using the infrastructure and market access of a Lloyd's broker.
What they're looking for
The employer wants a self-motivated, commercially minded professional with a background in business production and broking. Strong relationships, sector expertise or a clear strategy for generating business are expected, along with a risk and reward mentality. An existing book is welcome but not essential.
What's on offer
The package is flexible and individually negotiated, including commission on new business and renewals, profit-sharing, and potential equity participation. A small base salary may be available depending on the individual. The setting offers freedom, ownership and the chance to help shape a growing brokerage.
