Head of Non Payment Insurance

This role offers an exceptional opportunity to establish and lead a new non-payment insurance syndicate at Lloyd's within an established financial guaranty insurance group. The successful candidate will build the business from inception, shape underwriting strategy, and develop a scalable, profitable franchise. Reporting to senior management, they will serve as Active Underwriter, overseeing day-to-day underwriting decisions, portfolio performance, and compliance with Lloyd's standards and governance frameworks. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in non-payment insurance, structured finance, and project finance, with strong relationships across banks and brokers. They should demonstrate exceptional underwriting capability, experience structuring complex transactions, and proven success in building teams and infrastructure. Leadership experience, commercial acumen, and an entrepreneurial mindset are essential, along with familiarity with Lloyd's operations, reinsurance programme development, and regulatory requirements. Credit analysis skills, compliance knowledge, and excellent communication abilities are key to success in this role.
