About this role
This role involves underwriting high-value life insurance applications, including Critical Illness and Income Protection products with substantial sums assured. The successful candidate will assess complex cases by analysing medical reports, financial documentation, and risk factors, then collaborate with reassurers, sales, and pricing teams to develop competitive offers. The position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a detail-oriented approach to decision-making aligned with underwriting frameworks. The ideal candidate will have proven experience underwriting large or high-net-worth life cases, with current authority to underwrite life cover of £1.5 million or more preferred. Financial underwriting expertise is essential, alongside proficiency with IT systems and underwriting platforms.
