Liability Underwriter
About this role
This role offers an opportunity to underwrite corporate and specialty insurance risks within established authority levels while building strong relationships with brokers and clients across UK and London markets. The successful candidate will assess proposals, review loss history, determine appropriate premiums, and develop new business pipelines including cross-sell opportunities. Responsibilities include accurate data entry, management reporting, process analysis for continuous improvement, and active participation in team projects and external networking events. The ideal candidate brings prior liability underwriting experience and a solid grasp of underwriting policy construction and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of multinational programs is advantageous. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential, alongside the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. A proactive, collaborative approach and openness to innovation will support success in this position with a global specialist insurer.
