This role offers an opportunity to join a mid-market underwriting team as an experienced Motor Fleet Underwriter. You will build and manage a profitable portfolio of mid-market motor fleet business, combining strong underwriting discipline with effective broker relationship management. Your responsibilities will include assessing new business and renewals, negotiating terms to support sustainable growth, monitoring portfolio performance, and staying informed on market trends and emerging risks. The ideal candidate will have proven experience underwriting motor fleet business, with strong technical knowledge and risk assessment capability. You should demonstrate excellent broker relationship management skills, analytical thinking, and a commercially minded approach to portfolio management. A professional insurance qualification such as ACII is preferred. You will need to work independently while collaborating with internal teams, maintain regulatory compliance, and bring a customer-focused mindset to all interactions.
