This role offers an opportunity to join a major insurer's Manchester-based underwriting team as an experienced Property & Casualty underwriter. You will assess and underwrite new business opportunities, evaluate risk exposures, and determine appropriate coverage, terms, and pricing. The position involves close collaboration with brokers, agents, and clients to identify and develop profitable growth opportunities while maintaining strong relationships and high service standards. You will also monitor market developments and regulatory changes to ensure the team remains informed and compliant. The ideal candidate brings proven P&C underwriting experience with a strong track record in new business development and risk assessment. You should demonstrate solid knowledge of commercial insurance products, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to negotiate effectively with stakeholders. Proficiency with insurance systems and Microsoft Office is essential, alongside meticulous attention to detail. The ACII qualification is desirable, though candidates actively pursuing professional credentials are also welcome to apply.
