Personal Injury Handler (12 Month FTC)
About this role
This role involves triaging and processing personal injury claims from inception through initial resolution. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of claims, liaising with policyholders, witnesses, and third-party insurers while handling both inbound and outbound communications. Key duties include assessing liability, negotiating with customers and representatives, identifying fraud risks and large-loss indicators, and maintaining accurate reserves to meet performance targets and service level agreements. The ideal candidate brings proven experience handling personal injury claims, with demonstrated competency in indemnity validation, reserve setting, liability assessment, and fraud detection. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, alongside negotiation ability, attention to detail, and self-motivation. Familiarity with claims management portal systems and knowledge of claimant representative categories are advantageous. After an initial three-month full-time office-based training period, the role operates on a hybrid basis.
