Pricing Manager

This role offers an opportunity to lead pricing and underwriting strategy at a specialist pet insurer. The successful candidate will manage a multi-disciplinary team while developing sophisticated pricing models using actuarial techniques, machine learning, and statistical methods. Key responsibilities include driving pricing strategy to meet financial targets, overseeing product and pricing initiatives with robust governance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements around product governance and consumer duty. The position requires close collaboration across actuarial, product, and operational functions, alongside management of external partnerships with pricing technology providers. The ideal candidate brings substantial experience in pricing, underwriting, or actuarial roles within insurance or financial services, combined with proven people leadership capabilities. Strong technical skills are essential, including proficiency in SAS, SQL, and Python, alongside familiarity with pricing software platforms. Commercial awareness, stakeholder influence, and the ability to translate complex data into strategic recommendations are important. The role is based in Buckinghamshire on a hybrid basis, requiring weekly office attendance.
