This role supports the Exposure Management Team in developing analytics for the Natural Catastrophe portfolio, helping underwriting teams optimise capital allocation. The position focuses on catastrophe modelling, coding, and data visualisation in a dynamic environment. Key responsibilities include delivering accurate portfolio roll-ups across Lloyd's and international entities, ensuring property catastrophe exposure is properly understood and communicated, serving as the primary contact for underwriters on model data matters, and supporting regulatory reporting compliance. The role also involves designing systems for aggregate catastrophe exposure monitoring, assisting with reinsurance data submissions, and supporting event response procedures. Candidates should have prior catastrophe modelling experience in property classes, strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, and deep knowledge of catastrophe model functionality and limitations. Proficiency in Python and SQL is essential, along with understanding of reinsurance structures and portfolio recovery allocation. Familiarity with insurance sector requirements including Lloyd's, PRA, and Solvency II is required. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analysis and decision-making abilities, innovation, performance focus, and resilience in adapting to change.
