This newly created role in the claims department offers an opportunity to strengthen capabilities across US and International Healthcare classes. The position involves managing a dedicated claims portfolio, overseeing outsourced partners, and serving as a mentor to junior team members. The successful candidate will handle litigation oversight with legal representatives, develop relationships with brokers and external specialists, and participate in high-value loss discussions with senior professionals and underwriters. Collaboration with underwriting and actuarial teams will be essential to drive portfolio performance improvements. The ideal candidate brings extensive casualty claims experience, particularly in US Medical Liability and Allied Health, alongside proven expertise in delegated claims management and administrator oversight. Strong knowledge of US legal systems is required, with familiarity across Canadian, Australian, and UK jurisdictions preferred. Proficiency with London Market systems including relevant claims platforms is necessary. Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical and organisational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, clear communication, and a genuine commitment to professional development, ideally progressing toward ACII qualifications.
