About this role
This role offers an opportunity to join a growing specialist underwriting business as an experienced Commercial Underwriter. Based in London on a hybrid basis, you will underwrite new commercial business, develop broker relationships, and drive growth across a range of specialist schemes. Your responsibilities will include delivering competitive quotations, supporting broker development initiatives, monitoring scheme performance, and contributing to the creation of new insurance products. You'll work closely with brokers and internal stakeholders to maintain service excellence while ensuring profitability. The ideal candidate brings proven underwriting experience from an insurer, MGA, or scheme broker environment, with strong expertise in Commercial Combined risks and preferably Contractors Combined business. You should demonstrate commercial awareness, a focus on new business generation, and the ability to balance underwriting discipline with relationship-focused service delivery.
