Trading Underwriter

This role offers an opportunity to join an underwriting department as a Trading Underwriter, based in central Bristol. The successful candidate will analyse data to review and renew insurance policies, ensuring profitability while setting up scheme and standalone business. Key responsibilities include meeting with business partners to negotiate renewal terms, providing performance updates, and proactively managing their insurance risk. The role requires identifying and resolving underwriting issues in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have previous underwriting experience, or alternatively insurance or financial services background. Strong Excel skills for data analysis are essential, along with the ability to build meaningful long-term relationships with business partners. The role demands the capacity to work at pace while maintaining accuracy, manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, and lead complex underwriting conversations.
