Underwriter
About this role
This role offers an opportunity to work as an underwriter for a specialist insurer serving charities, not-for-profit organisations, faith groups, and businesses. You will underwrite business within your delegated authority, assess risks, determine appropriate policy terms, and make sound commercial decisions. Building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and stakeholders is central to the position, as is identifying opportunities through data analysis and ensuring regulatory compliance. You'll balance acquiring new customers with retaining existing ones by delivering competitive solutions and high-quality service. The ideal candidate holds or is committed to obtaining Cert CII qualification and brings proven commercial insurance experience. You should demonstrate strong communication skills, market knowledge, and a track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
